Systeme.io Review 2026: Honest Verdict on the Free Plan

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes a score. How this works.

Systeme.io review: sales analytics charts on a laptop screen

Systeme.io lets you build sales funnels, send emails, sell courses and run your own affiliate program from one account, and you can start without paying or adding a card. That much is true. The homepage doesn’t spell out the rest. The Systeme.io free plan stops taking payments after $10,000 in lifetime sales, the pricing page gives two different answers about funnel limits, and paid plans can’t be refunded. This Systeme.io review sets out what each plan really gives you, where the limits bite, and when paying is worth it.

I earn from this one. I’m a Systeme.io affiliate. If you sign up through my links and later move to a paid plan, Systeme.io pays me 60% of what you pay, for as long as you stay. Your price is the same either way. The scores below come from the sources listed at the end, and the small print gets as much space as the good parts.

Quick verdict

What’s in this Systeme.io review

How I researched this Systeme.io review

I haven’t run a business on Systeme.io yet, so nothing in this Systeme.io review is a hands-on claim. I went through the live Systeme.io pricing page line by line, including the full comparison table below the plan cards. Then I read Systeme.io’s terms and conditions, its help articles on email authentication and its new AI connector, and its affiliate terms. I also looked at the ratings behind 11,508 user reviews on Trustpilot, Capterra and G2, and read a sample of the recent ones for patterns. Everything was checked on 9 October 2026. The cost figures are my own arithmetic from Systeme.io’s published prices.

What I scoredScoreWhy
Ease of use8/10Capterra users rate it 4.6 out of 5 for ease of use; the usual complaint is learning where each setting lives
Output quality7/10Remarkable breadth for the price, but each tool is simpler than a specialist app, especially email reporting and page design
Value for money9/10A free plan you can actually use, 0% transaction fees on every plan, and Startup at $17 a month
Trust and support8/10Ratings of 4.8 to 4.9 and support that answers seven days a week, held back by non-refundable plans and some slow migrations

The overall 8 is the average of the four. If your experience with Systeme.io doesn’t match what I’ve written, tell me and I’ll update the review.

The small print I’d want to know before signing up

  • The Systeme.io pricing page disagrees with itself. Its FAQ, marked as last updated in April 2026, says Startup gets unlimited funnels and Webinar gets “unlimited everything”. The plan cards and the comparison table on the same page cap Startup at 10 funnels and Webinar at 50. The table also lists unlimited sub-accounts on every plan, while the FAQ ties sub-accounts to Unlimited. I’d plan around the lower numbers, and screenshot the table on the day you pay.
  • The Systeme.io free plan has a $10,000 sales cap. This one is in the terms, not on the pricing page: free accounts are limited to $10,000 in lifetime sales. Once you hit it, you get three days to upgrade before your payment pages stop accepting new orders. That’s about 370 sales of a $27 ebook, or 103 sales of a $97 course.
  • “Unlimited students” has an exception. The list of things every plan includes promises unlimited students, but the comparison table caps the free plan at 500. Every paid plan is unlimited.
  • The free plan gives you one of most things. One tag, one automation rule, one workflow and one email campaign (Systeme.io’s name for an automated sequence), next to 3 funnels and 2,000 contacts. That covers a single lead magnet with a single welcome sequence. Segmenting your list or running two offers side by side needs Startup.
  • Paid plans aren’t refundable. The terms put it in one line: subscription plans are not refundable. They also say prices can change at any time, though an order is charged at the price shown when you place it. The free plan is effectively your trial, so use it properly before you pay.
  • Email needs your own domain. Systeme.io’s help centre says domain authentication is mandatory before you can send, and you can’t authenticate a Gmail, Yahoo or ProtonMail address. If you don’t own a domain, add that cost, plus three CNAME records and one DMARC record at your registrar.

Everything that comes in one Systeme.io account

  • Sales funnels: drag-and-drop pages built from templates, with A/B tests, one-click upsells, order bumps and countdown timers.
  • Email marketing: newsletters (one-off broadcasts) and campaigns (automated sequences), with tags and segments. Sending is unlimited on every plan, free included.
  • Automation: simple “when this happens, do that” rules plus visual workflows that tie forms, emails, courses and the CRM together.
  • Courses and communities: video lessons, PDFs, drip schedules, locked modules and progress tracking, plus members-only spaces that can be free or paid.
  • Websites and blogs: multi-page sites, a blog, link-in-bio pages and a custom domain, all available on the free plan.
  • Selling: digital and physical products with variants, coupons, a one-page creator store, bookings that can take deposits, and evergreen (pre-recorded) webinars on the Webinar plan and up.
  • Your own affiliate program: let other people sell your products for a commission you set, with tracking and payouts handled inside the account.
  • The rest: CRM pipelines, SMS, assistant logins for your team, sub-accounts for clients or brands, and an API.

Systeme.io describes itself as “the only tool you need to launch your online business”, and the list above is the reason it can say so with a straight face. The trade-off shows up in the reviews further down: every piece works, but none of them goes as deep as a tool built for that one job.

Unlimited$97$970 ($80.83 a month)UnlimitedUnlimitedUnlimitedUnlimited

Systeme.io pricing is in US dollars. Every plan, free included, comes with unlimited emails and file storage, 0% transaction fees, your own affiliate program, 24/7 email support and the same payment options. Paying yearly gets you two months free, which saves $34 on Startup, $94 on Webinar and $194 on Unlimited. On any paid plan billed yearly, it also adds free migration from your current tools and a one-to-one kickstart coaching session. On monthly billing, only Unlimited includes those two. There’s also a custom plan for teams, with a dedicated success manager, priced on a call.

What the Systeme.io free plan includes

The Systeme.io free plan isn’t a trial. It has no end date and needs no card, and it gives you 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels, one website, one blog, one community, one course for up to 500 students and a custom domain. Emails are unlimited. Automation is where it’s thin, with one tag, one rule, one workflow and one email campaign. The limit that matters most is the $10,000 lifetime sales cap, and how soon you reach it depends on your price.

Systeme.io free plan sales cap chart: 370 sales of a $27 ebook, 212 of a $47 mini course, 103 of a $97 course, 50 of a $197 program and 20 of a $497 coaching offer fit under $10,000

What a contact really costs on each Systeme.io plan

Systeme.io pricing is mostly based on contacts, so it’s worth working out the cost per 1,000 when each plan is full:

Plan, when fullPer 1,000 contacts, monthly billingPer 1,000 contacts, yearly billing
Startup, 5,000 contacts$3.40$2.83
Webinar, 10,000 contacts$4.70$3.92
Unlimited, at 20,000 contacts$4.85$4.04
Unlimited, at 50,000 contacts$1.94$1.62

What the numbers say: Startup is the cheapest way to pay per contact. Webinar costs more per contact, so it only makes sense if you’ll sell with evergreen webinars or need more than 10 funnels or automation rules. Unlimited looks expensive at $97 until your list is big; at 50,000 contacts it’s the cheapest plan per head by a distance.

Systeme.io now works with Claude and ChatGPT

This feature is new, so older Systeme.io reviews won’t mention it. Systeme.io now runs an MCP server, the standard way AI assistants connect to outside apps, and its MCP page lists it as included on every plan, free included. You create a key under “MCP & API keys” in your settings, add it to Claude as a custom connector or to ChatGPT, and then ask for things in plain English.

According to Systeme.io’s help article on the MCP server, the assistant can work with contacts and tags, newsletters and email campaigns, funnels and opt-in steps, price plans and coupons, automation rules and workflows, products, bookings, courses and SMS templates. It shows you what it’s about to create, change or delete and waits for your approval, and you can set each tool to always allowed, needs approval or blocked.

It’s an early version, and Systeme.io says so. The help article calls it an initial release and warns of minor stability issues. Keys last 90 days at most, with two allowed at a time, and OAuth sign-in isn’t supported yet. The AI can’t edit or delete existing funnels, funnel steps or webinar pages, and you still schedule and switch on campaign steps yourself. For a site about AI tools, this is the feature I find most interesting. You can draft a newsletter with Claude and have it created in your account, with no copying and pasting in between.

Getting paid: payment options, fees and selling from India

Every Systeme.io plan connects to Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay, Razorpay, Flutterwave, Mercado Pago and Xendit, and physical products can be sold with cash on delivery. Systeme.io takes 0% of your sales on all four plans. Your payment processor still charges its own fees, so “no transaction fees” means no extra cut from Systeme.io, not free payments.

For readers in India, the Razorpay option is the detail I’d point out first: you aren’t stuck with Stripe or PayPal at checkout. Your Systeme.io subscription itself is billed in US dollars.

If you’re planning a course, the lessons are the hard part, not the hosting. My HeyGen review covers AI presenter videos and my ElevenLabs review covers AI voiceovers, both of which people use to produce course material faster.

Support, migrations and what happens if you leave

  • Support: 24/7 email support on every plan, and Systeme.io says its team answers seven days a week with an average response time under two hours. Support is also the thing reviewers praise most.
  • Migrations: free on yearly paid plans and on monthly Unlimited, and plenty of reviewers thank the migration team by name. Some don’t: one Trustpilot reviewer in October 2026 said a migration quoted at four weeks took more than eight, and a TrustRadius reviewer said theirs never finished and a refund was refused. Don’t time a launch around a migration date.
  • Leaving: you can downgrade or cancel at any time and drop back to the free plan. If your list is bigger than 2,000 by then, the contacts above the limit are archived rather than deleted, so they come back if you upgrade again.
  • Fair use: the terms let Systeme.io block an account whose usage harms other users or causes abnormal costs. It says it will usually contact you first.

The company behind it is ITACWT Limited in Dublin, Ireland. Systeme.io was launched in 2018 by French founder Aurélien Amacker, and its homepage now claims more than 500,000 entrepreneurs on the platform.

Systeme.io reviews: what 11,500+ users say

  • Trustpilot: 4.9 out of 5 from 8,627 reviews, 1,804 of them from the last 12 months. 94% are five stars and 2% are one star. Trustpilot notes the company hasn’t invited reviews recently, so the recent ones weren’t prompted by Systeme.io. The company replies to 95% of negative reviews.
  • Capterra: 4.8 out of 5 from 2,130 reviews, with 4.6 for ease of use and 4.8 for customer service. Reviewers like having everything in one place, the price, the support and the migration help. The complaints are about finding where settings live, tools that are less advanced than specialist apps (email reporting, bookings, design control) and gaps such as international tax rates.
  • G2: 4.8 out of 5 from 751 reviews.
  • TrustRadius: 5 out of 10 from 8 ratings. Too few to weigh heavily, but the one written review on show is the unfinished migration mentioned above.

Scores this high on the three big review sites at once are unusual. Just as telling is what the negative Systeme.io reviews are about: navigation, depth and slow migrations. I didn’t come across the surprise-charge stories that fill the Trustpilot pages of several AI tools I’ve reviewed.

When Systeme.io is the wrong tool

  • Email is your whole business. If you live in open-rate reports, deliverability dashboards and complex segmentation, a dedicated email platform will give you more than Systeme.io’s simpler reporting.
  • You run a proper online shop. Systeme.io handles physical products, variants and cash on delivery, but a large catalogue selling across borders is better served by a dedicated ecommerce platform with built-in tax handling.
  • Design is the product. The templates are clean, but designers and brand-heavy businesses tend to want more control than a funnel builder gives them.
  • You need a refund safety net. There isn’t one on paid plans. If that’s a deal-breaker, stay on the Systeme.io free plan until you’re sure.

Systeme.io pros and cons

Where it shines

  • Free plan with no card and no end date
  • 0% transaction fees on every plan
  • Funnels, email, courses and checkout in one login
  • Rated 4.8 to 4.9 on Trustpilot, Capterra and G2
  • Claude and ChatGPT connector on all plans
  • Razorpay, Stripe and PayPal built in

Where it falls short

  • $10,000 lifetime sales cap on the free plan
  • Paid plans aren’t refundable
  • Pricing page contradicts itself on limits
  • Email needs your own authenticated domain
  • Simpler email reports and design than specialist tools
  • Migrations can run late

Which Systeme.io plan should you buy?

  1. Free, while you test an idea. One lead magnet, one welcome sequence and one small course will fit. Move up when you pass 2,000 contacts, need a second tag or automation, or get close to $10,000 in sales.
  2. Startup, $17 a month, for most solo creators. 5,000 contacts, 10 funnels, 10 automation rules and 5 courses with no student limit, at the lowest cost per contact of any plan.
  3. Webinar, $47 a month, only if you’ll use webinars. Evergreen webinars are the reason to pay for it. Otherwise, Startup’s limits are rarely the problem.
  4. Unlimited, $97 a month, once you’re big or busy. It’s the plan for lists past 10,000, for people managing clients’ accounts, and for anyone who wants migration and coaching without paying for a year upfront.

Because paid plans can’t be refunded, I’d pay monthly for the first month or two. Once you know you’re staying, switch to yearly: you get two months free, plus the free migration and kickstart coaching session.

Systeme.io review verdict: is it worth it?

For creators, coaches and small online businesses, yes. The Systeme.io free plan is good enough to build and test a real offer. Startup, at $17 a month, replaces a handful of separate subscriptions, and 0% transaction fees mean more of every sale stays with you. Rating scores of 4.8 to 4.9 on three review sites back that up. Read the small print first, though: the $10,000 cap on the free plan, the lack of refunds, the contradictory pricing page and the domain you’ll need for email. If you need specialist depth in one area, a specialist tool will serve you better. If you want one place to run the whole thing, this is the one I’d start with.

Two ways people earn with Systeme.io

The obvious one is selling your own course, coaching, downloads or physical products, with no platform cut. The other is recommending it. Systeme.io’s affiliate program pays 60% of every payment your referrals make for as long as they stay, and anyone with a free account can join without applying. A referral is tied to you from the moment they open a free account. Payouts go out on the 10th of each month by PayPal or bank transfer once you’re above $30, after a 30-day hold on each commission. That’s the program behind the links on this page.
