Most small businesses know they should run video ads, but few have time to film or money for an agency. This plan uses BlueFX’s AI Media Machine to make short, honest video ads for them. It’s a service business with real clients and real deadlines, not passive income.

Where the demand comes from
Short vertical video ads now drive a lot of small-business marketing on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, and most owners don’t want to film themselves. AI Media Machine covers the whole job in one place: script ideas, a presenter, a voiceover, music, captions and a thumbnail.
Price is the hard part. Fiverr is full of AI video ad gigs starting at $5 to $35. One top-rated seller with a 4.9 rating and 150+ reviews offers a 20 to 30 second AI ad with script and captions for $25, while a vetted US seller charges $180 for a single 15-second ad. You won’t win the cheap end. This plan wins on local relationships, ads built for testing, and doing it by the rules.
Step 1: Start on the cheap plan
Don’t buy lifetime on day one. Start with BlueFX’s $1 trial and the $37 monthly plan while you make samples and land your first clients. Once two clients are paying you every month, the $297 lifetime license or the $197 yearly upgrade becomes worth it.
Client work is allowed on every plan: BlueFX’s terms permit producing videos for any number of clients at no extra cost.
Step 2: Learn the rules before you sell
This is what separates a lasting business from one that gets clients’ ad accounts rejected:
- No fake customers. Many “AI UGC” gigs sell avatars pretending to be happy customers. In the US, the FTC’s rule on reviews and testimonials, in force since October 2024, bans fake testimonials, including AI-generated ones from people who don’t exist. Use avatars as presenters who explain the product, never as buyers who “tried it”.
- Label AI content where the platform asks. TikTok requires advertisers to label realistic AI-generated content, and rejects ads that don’t. Meta adds its own “AI info” label automatically, and YouTube asks creators to disclose realistic AI content.
- Clone voices only with written permission. That includes the client’s own voice. Keep the permission on file.
- Copy formats, not ads. Use the Ad Cloner to learn why an ad works, then write your own script with the client’s own product photos, logo and offer.
Step 3: Pick one niche
Pick businesses that advertise often and have something new to show:
- Cafés and restaurants: new menu items and weekly offers.
- Real estate agents: quick listing videos from property photos.
- Gyms and studios: class promos and membership offers.
- Small online stores: product ads in several variations for testing.
- Local services: cleaners, salons and repair shops explaining what they offer.
Step 4: Package your offer around the monthly limits
BlueFX lists about 20 talking-avatar videos a month, drawn from 600 monthly credits. Voiceovers and music are unlimited. Build your packages so you don’t run out halfway through the month:
| Package | What’s included | Example price |
|---|---|---|
| Test pack | 3 versions of one 15 to 20 second ad with different opening lines, vertical and square, with captions | $79 to $149 |
| Monthly ads | 5 new ad versions every month for one business, with thumbnails | $199 to $299 a month |
| Listing video | One property video from photos, with voiceover and music | $49 to $99 each |
These are example prices based on what AI video ad sellers charge on Fiverr, from about $25 for one short ad up to around $180 from a vetted US seller. Local clients you work with directly usually pay more for convenience and a person they can call. Test prices in your market.
Three monthly clients at five avatar ads each use about 15 of your roughly 20 monthly avatar videos, leaving room for samples and redos. Past that, buy credit packs (from $9.99) or switch some ads to voiceover over product visuals, which doesn’t use the avatar allowance.
Step 5: Make three sample ads
Make three 15 to 20 second samples for your niche. Here’s a script you can adapt for a café, delivered by an AI presenter or as a voiceover over product shots:
| Part | Voiceover | On screen |
|---|---|---|
| Hook | “Iced coffee, but make it sparkling.” | Close-up of a fizzing glass |
| What it is | “[Café name]’s new cold brew tonic: slow-steeped coffee over chilled tonic and orange.” | The drink being poured |
| Why now | “On the summer menu until [date].” | Menu board with the date |
| Call to action | “Show this video at the counter for [offer].” | Storefront with the offer on screen |
Notice what it doesn’t do: nobody claims to be a customer, and every claim is something the café can back up.
Step 6: Find your first clients
Use the Meta Ad Library
Meta’s free Ad Library shows every active ad a business runs on Facebook and Instagram. Search local businesses in your niche and look for ones running only still images, or the same ad for months. They already pay for ads, so fresh video versions are an easy conversation.
Send a short, specific message
Hi [Name], I saw [Business] is running a photo ad for [offer] on Instagram. I make short video versions of ads so you can test which one gets more bookings. I made a quick sample using your offer and can send it over. If it’s useful, three versions for testing are [price].
Add a marketplace gig
A niche gig on Fiverr or Upwork, such as “Short video ads for cafés”, brings inbound orders while you do outreach. Fiverr keeps 20% of every order, so price with that in mind.
Step 7: Deliver, then improve with their results
- Get a short brief: the product, the audience, the offer, and anything they must not claim.
- Send the script for approval before you generate anything, so you don’t waste credits.
- Deliver vertical and square versions with captions, labelled as AI where the platform asks.
- After two weeks, ask which version performed best, and build next month’s ads from the winner.
- Ask for a real testimonial from the business owner. That’s the kind you’re allowed to use.
What three clients would bring in
Say you sign three businesses to the monthly package at $199. That’s $597 a month. The $37 monthly plan is covered by your first client, and the $297 lifetime license by your second month of work.
Landing three monthly clients can take weeks of outreach, and some will stop after a month or two. Take those figures as an illustration, not a forecast.
Ways to get this wrong
- Selling fake testimonials. It’s the fastest way to get a client in legal trouble.
- Promising sales or return on ad spend. Sell ads built for testing, not guaranteed results.
- Running out of avatar videos mid-month. Track your usage and plan client work around the allowance.
- Copying a competitor’s ad. Rebuild the structure, never the words, footage or brand.
- Buying lifetime before you have clients. The $1 trial and monthly plan are there for a reason.

Who should try this
Try it if… you understand basic advertising, can write a tight 20-second script, and don’t mind pitching local businesses.
Skip it if… you want passive income, or you’d rather avoid client work and platform rules.
